Revolut GlobalHire launch
UK businesses hiring abroad face a stark trade-off: set up costly local entities, or hand up to 5% of payroll to a third-party Employer of Record (EOR). Revolut GlobalHire is Revolut's reaction to this, bringing EOR services for 160+ countries directly into the platform its 800,000 customers already bank with.
My role
Launching from scratch with a nimble product team, naming and positioning really mattered as Revolut entered a crowded, high-value market with genuinely well-funded competition.
I led naming, positioning, and strategic messaging end-to-end. I built a shortlist of names from competitor research and Revolut's in-house naming conventions, scored each against SEO-friendliness and cross-market clarity, then briefed UX Research to test them via Maze against the actual target audience — SMEs aged 35-55 across software, legal, accounting, consulting, banking, and insurance. Over 80% of test participants agreed or strongly agreed the winning name, GlobalHire, significantly influenced whether they'd use the product.
From there, I created the core value props: breadth (160+ countries), ease of use, and speed, wrote the waitlist and launch comms, and reviewed in-app UX copy.
Waitlist comms converted at 3.4x the benchmark, ahead of the comms and landing page launch in July 2025.
Our waitlist emails sent to current Revolut Business customer cohorts who we knew could benefit from GlobalHire.
